Bluetooth
Your phone, tablet or computer connects to the devices over Bluetooth.
How to sign in
- Install the Spectoda Connect app on your phone, tablet or computer.
- Open the app and sign in. If you don’t have an account yet, create one right in the app by following its instructions.
- Allow the app to use Bluetooth. Some phones also ask for location permission to find nearby devices.
Keep your sign-in details safe — you will need them on another phone or computer too.
How to connect
- Switch the charged device on with its button.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone, tablet or computer and keep the device nearby.
- In the app, search for the device and connect to it.
- To control several props at once, add the other devices in the app too — they then synchronise with each other on the 2.4 GHz network.
Modes and animations
You control the devices with the button or in the app. In the app you choose a mode, edit animations and set up your own modes.
Several props at once
Devices synchronise with each other on a 2.4 GHz network, so several props light up together and you control them from one app. Your phone, tablet or computer connects to them over Bluetooth.

Troubleshooting
The device does not light up after I unplug it from the charger.
On the charger the device charges, stays switched on and can light up. When you unplug it from USB, the charging circuit restarts and the device switches off — switch it on again with the button.
The app cannot find the device.
Check that the device is switched on and charged, Bluetooth is on and the app is allowed to use Bluetooth (and location, if asked). Move closer to the device and search again, or close and reopen the app.
Connecting fails or keeps dropping.
The device may already be connected to another phone or computer — disconnect it there. It also helps to turn Bluetooth off and on and to switch the device off and on again with its button.
Several props do not light up together.
Make sure all props are switched on, charged and added in the app. Devices synchronise with each other on 2.4 GHz; if there are problems, move them closer together.
The battery runs out sooner than I expected.
Runtime depends on brightness and the chosen mode — bright white on all LEDs drains the battery fastest. Charging over USB-C takes about 2 hours with a 2 A charger and up to 4 hours with a weaker one.
